SKOWHEGAN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Somerset County District Attorney Evert Fowle says no charges will be filed against the logging truck driver involved in a crash last summer that claimed the life of a four year old boy.
Liam Mahaney was killed when a logging truck crashed into his home on Main Street in Jackman. The little boy was sleeping on a couch in the living room when the crash occurred.
Fowle says there is no evidence the driver, Christian Cloutier of Quebec was speeding. His log book was in order, and there were no noticebale defects with the truck.
Fowle called it a tragic accident -- not a crime.
