SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- There's a new effort in Maine to help more students foster an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
The Reach Center is a partnership between the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance and the Maine School of Science and Mathematics.
Its goal is to double the number of high achieving Maine students in math and science-related fields by finding students who may not realize they could succeed in those areas, and by helping students connect with those who can foster their talent.
The Center is funded by a $3.2 million grant from an anonymous donor.
