Joanna Moore, 6 Who Care Award Winner
Joanna Moore's volunteer history spans nearly twenty years and has impacted thousands of lives.
After four years of distributing clothing to the needy from her own front door, Joanna joined her efforts with those of Crosswalk Community Outreach in Naples in 2008. Home-grown produce and pantry staples that clients gratefully take home, blood pressure screenings, healthy cooking classes, personal finance workshops, the children's summer lunch program, and many other seasonal and year-round programs serving many basic community needs: these are the result of the personal mission of Joanna Moore.
In addition to Crosswalk, Joanna has served ten years as food pantry manager and youth bible study teacher at The Root Cellar and seven years as an American Red Cross disaster volunteer.
Don Morrison at Wayside Food Rescue says, "She is so selfless. With Joanna, it's not 'What can I get?' but 'What can I share?'"
