PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Maine Food Gone Wild returns with ostrich meat.

  And you would think that it would be like poultry but Ben Hoza and Tom Brock from the Meat House say it has the consistency of Filet Mignon with the earthiness of lamb. It's high in iron content.

  Hoza and Brock cooked the ostrich with burgundy wine mushrooms, hit with some brandy.

  The Meat House does stock ostrich at some of their stores but it can always be ordered. They also carry other exotic meats like bison and alligator.
