LYMAN (NEWS CENTER) -- Officials from the York County Sheriff's Department have charged a man with growing almost one hundred marijuana plants.

Investigators say Mark LaPierre was arrested on Friday after an investigation revealed he was cultivating 92 marijuana plants at his home on Williams Road in Lyman. The marijuana has a street value of $35,000.

Deputies say in addition to the marijuana, they also seized four assault rifles and more than $2,500 in cash.

The York County Sheriff's Office says it worked on the investigation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

LaPierre, 49, will be arraigned in September.
