Cumberland, ME (NEWS CENTER)--This small town north of Portland is mourning the loss of Dr. Louis P. Hanson. The man known as "Doc" crashed while flying his small private plane on Sunday.
Doctor Hanson was a community leader who practiced medicine in a personal and caring way. He is being remembered for his many kindnesses as well as his distinctive wardrobe which almost always featured a jaunty bow tie and often a trench coat.
This was his apparel when he met with Bill Green do to a story about his unique airplane back in December of 2010.
