KARMIN AT NEWBURY COMICS
Nick Noonan and Amy Heidemann of Karmin signed copies of their CD "Hello" at Newbury Comics in South Portland on Wednesday, October 3rd.
Karmin's second single, "Hello" hit #1 on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart. Their first single, "Brokenhearted" is now double platinum in Australia and platinum in Canada. Karmin has some big shows coming up. They'll be at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and on (Dick Clark's) New Year's Rockin' Eve.

SENATOR GEORGE MITCHELL
Senator George Mitchell was appointed to the U.S. Senate in 1980 to complete the un-expired term of Senator Edmund S. Muskie, who resigned to become Secretary of State. He was elected to a full term in the Senate in 1982, and reelected in 1988. He left the Senate in 1995 as the Senate Majority Leader, a position he had held since January 1989.
