While it may appear that everyone has a smart phone, a tablet or other mobile device these days, that's just not the case. Many people choose not to have a mobile device, but many others can't always afford the latest and the greatest. What's the difference between a feature phone and a smart phone?
A feature phone is basically a traditional phone, but might have some limited features such as a camera, mp3 player, email access. A smart phone has an OS that allows it to run 3rd party apps like Instagram or Angry Birds. If you can live without Words With Friends, you can probably live with a feature phone.
OK, so what are we looking to spend on a feature phone, and which ones should we pick up?
There are a few we found: the LG Extravert, Pantech Hotshot, Pantech Jest 2 and LG Cosmos 2 are all free w/a 2 yr contract. The LG Cosmos 2 is $189.99 w/o a contract. Features vary by phone.

Verizon offers LG Enlighten, Blackberry Curve, for free w/a 2 yr plan.
T Mobile offers MyTouch 4G, LG Double Play, HTC Wildfire, Samsung Gravity & LG Optimus, & Samsung Dar.
AT&T you can get LG Phoenix, Palm Pixi, Samsung Focus, Blackberry Curve w/2 yr plan, or iPhone 3G for .01.
No plan? No problem if you want to spend $299.99 on the Samsung Illusion or LG Phoenix or Blackberry Curve.
