207 Barbara Gulino's Buffalo Wing Cheese Dip
Whole Foods Market's Blazin' Buffalo Wing Cheddar Dip
1 lb. cream cheese, softened
4 ounces sour cream
½ lb. Yancey's Fancy Buffalo Wing Cheese
Using an electric mixer, blend together softened cream cheese and sour cream until combined and smooth, scraping bowl as necessary. Peel off the red wax coating and shred cheese. Add shredded cheese and blend on low speed until just combined. Scrape into an ovenproof bowl or au gratin dish. Place in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes, until heated through. Serve immediately. Alternatively, place the mixture in a crockpot on low and heat through. Serve with crackers, carrot and celery sticks.
Whole Foods Market's Guacamole
1/4 small red onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeño, seeds removed and finely chopped
¼ cup chopped cilantro, or to taste
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon chili powder, or to taste
½ lime, juiced
4-5 ripe avocadoes
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Combine all the ingredients except the avocadoes, and set aside for the flavors to begin to blend while you prepare the avocadoes. Slice each avocado lengthwise, remove the pit, scoop out the pulp, and roughly mash with a fork, taking care to leave whole chunks. Fold the avocadoes into the onion/pepper mixture, season to taste with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
