Brad Paisley thanks troops and first responders

BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Multi-Grammy and ACM award winning country artist, Brad Paisley performed in Bangor at the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion. And Paisley made it extra special for those serving our country and our communities. About 700 military and first responders of any kind were able to get into the concert for free.

With Paisley's support, waterfront concerts and Live Nation were able to coordinate this event as a way to say thank you to servicemen and women.

U.S. Navy sailor, Josh Bennett said he is a big fan the legendary country entertainer.

"I'm wearing my cowboy boots today, so absolutely normally I'd be in shorts, but then I was like I can't go to a Brad Paisley concert not in cowboy boots."

EMS for Brooks ambulance, Katie Roberts said she's a big fan and loves country music.

"It's nice to be thanked and to have the appreciation we just do it because we like to help people, but it's nice to have that appreciation as well."

The next waterfront concert is with Willie Nelson and family on June 19th.
