Scott Sassone joined NEWS CENTER in October of 2006. As a Backpack Journalist, Scott acts as a reporter and photographer as he shoots, writes and edits his stories. Scott has spent his entire broadcasting career in Maine. He started as a Sports Anchor for WAGM-TV in Presque Isle. Scott later moved to Bangor, where he hosted a sports talk show for WZON radio. There he also served as the play by play voice of the University of Maine women's basketball team. Scott grew up just outside Rochester, NY. He is a 1999 graduate of the State University of New York, College at Fredonia. He lives in the Bangor area with his wife, Kara, and their black lab, Cabo.
