WISCASSET, Maine — An Alna man died Thursday night in a crash along Route 1 in Wiscasset.
The Wiscasset Police Department confirmed Thursday that George Christopher, 62, was killed in the crash, which took place around 6:40 p.m. near Norm's Used Cars.
Police say Dylan Young, 48, of Wiscasset, was turning onto Old Ferry Road in his pickup truck when it hit Christopher, who was riding a motorcycle.
Christopher was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wiscasset Police Chief Larry Hesseltine said Friday that Christopher was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Maine State Police were reconstructing the crash, which was remained under investigation, and Wiscasset officers were assisted by local fire and EMS as well as Lincoln County sheriff's deputies and the district attorney's office.
